STORY BEHIND THE CUP

Two siblings, Niko and Karo Ocampo, are the drivers behind these amazing coffees produced in Finca La Julia, Colombia. Following their father's footsteps as a coffee grower, they are committed to bringing high quality estate and specialty coffees that are sustainable for the Colombian community using natural resources.

We are so privileged to share this coffee Java varietal. It was the first of the several varietals they began producing back in 2015 with their first harvest in April-May of 2017.

As raw beans, it has a long oval shape with slight yellowish colour. Once roasted, the minute you grind it you could smell a number of tropical fruit aroma. You’d want to brew it right away as it stimulates your senses. It’s like cutting a sticky jackfruit. It has a ripe starfruit acidity and hint of longan. With its candy like sweetness, it is just perfect for your filter brew.
