IN THE CUP

Espigão Farm is located in the Cerrado Mineiro region, characterised by mountainous terrain, high altitudes and a good rainfall index. Ideal conditions for the cultivation of speciality green coffee beans with supreme aromas and flavours.

After harvesting, the coffee cherries were stored in airtight containers for a specific period of time where they underwent Anaerobic Fermentation- a process which can produce very distinct, different and wild flavours, and this cup is no exception!
Expect a distinct mouthfeel, reminiscent of Toblerone with fresh red grapes and a rich, but pleasantly sweet vermouth.

STORY BEHIND THE CUP

Producer, Gil Cesar de Melo, comes from a lineage of coffee growers, beginning his grandfather who passed this passion onto his mother, Elizena. After finally taking the mantel from Elizena, he is now passing it onto the fourth generation, his sons Edu and Hugo.
Gil planted his first six hectares in 1995 and has since expanded, always seeking to invest in quality. He is highly invested in the preservation of the surrounding forests, a value which extends towards Espigão Farm and reflects the outstanding quality of the coffee grown there.
